Postgraduate experience

Dr Hinton completed his pre-cardiology rotations at Southampton, benefiting from an additional year working in Christchurch, New Zealand. He was selected for a cardiology training position in 2014 across the Wessex region, where he undertook a two-year specific research degree that fuelled his passion for enhancing cardiovascular care.

Jonathan completed specialised fellowships at both Southampton and Bournemouth, focusing on the management of heart artery narrowings and heart attacks. These fellowships equipped him with the latest techniques for treating heart artery narrowings.

In 2023, Jonathan was appointed as a consultant cardiologist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
